NPE, the Most Influential Plastics Industry Show in the Americas, Returns in 2024

Dec 8, 2022

Supply chains are still sluggish. Stock markets are moving up and down faster than injection mold extraction robots. And somehow, it’s practically February.

Despite a frenetic start to 2023, hundreds of plastics manufacturers, processors, suppliers, and solutions providers couldn’t be more optimistic thanks to a major event that is just around the corner.

No, it’s not the Super Bowl. It’s Space Draw. And it’s one of the most exciting and important moments of the year for any business connected to the plastics industry.

Here’s why.

Space Draw—which takes place February 27 – March 3, 2023 in Orlando—marks the official kickoff for companies preparing to exhibit at NPE2024: The Plastics Show.

For those new to the industry, or if you need a refresher:

  • More than 55,000 buyers and decision makers from 110 countries and every industry on this planet come to NPE to do business—making it the largest plastics trade show in the Americas and the event that could have the single, greatest positive impact on your organization for the next decade.
  • Due to high demand to reach this audience, companies that want a spot on the NPE2024 show floor will select their booth location during the special in-person event called Space Draw.
  • If you haven’t applied to exhibit at NPE 2024 or registered for the In-Person Space Draw event, now is the time to act because it’s just weeks away.

The attendees at NPE2024 are exactly the types of decision makers and customers that companies like yours are seeking. Buyers and executives across every industry come to NPE—from medical to construction to packaging to consumer products to automotive and more.

Who you’ll see at NPE:

  • 71% of attendees are decision-makers or influencers
  • 32% have purchasing budgets of $1 million or higher
  • 90% of attendees are buyers from unique companies
  • 50% are in management or C-suite roles

The sheer volume and quality of leads that you can capture in just a week at NPE2024 is staggering enough. However, there are even more reasons to be excited about exhibiting at NPE2024.

Here are our current top three:

  1. Pent-Up Demand

When the doors open on May 6, 2024, it will have been six years since the last NPE was held. In that time, technology has evolved exponentially, and companies have dramatically changed how they operate. Those within the plastics industry have had to deal with and adapt to changing regulations, workforce shortages, and a society that demands more eco-friendly packaging.

This creates an unprecedented opportunity at NPE2024 for exhibiting companies to promote their latest innovations to prospective buyers who are eager to invest in the next phases of growth for their organizations. Will you be there to connect with investment-minded executives looking to position their businesses for success over the next five to ten years?

  1. A Focus on Generating Growth

The plastics industry has always led the pack in problem-solving, and NPE2024 is the strategic platform that brings together every manufacturer, every mold maker, every chemist, every engineer, every sector, every vertical, every buyer, every seller, and every technical expert—both today and in the future—in service of building of NPE: the New Plastics Economy.

NPE2024 is not just a return to the business-forward showcase of the latest plastics materials and manufacturing innovations. It is the first step to creating the future we need.

If you’re an exhibiting company at NPE2024, you’ll be able to put your thought leadership on full display for potential customers and the world to see. It’s nearly impossible to justify skipping this massive opportunity to increase your reach and generate exponential growth for your organization.

  1. It’s Time to Get Back Together. It’s Time to Do Business.

One thing we all have learned since the pandemic began, is how much we rely on each other, and how much we rely on plastics to create a safe, adaptable, and renewable world.

There are hundreds of complex problems to be solved as we move into the fourth industrial revolution, and no one organization can address these alone. It requires rethinking the roles of the different sectors, the reuse of materials, and redefining sustainability metrics through profit, people, and planet.

NPE2024 is the global platform for the plastics industry, and your primary destination to advance your business. Bring your customers and prospects as guests so they can experience demonstrations of your latest equipment, products, or solutions firsthand, meet with your team of industry experts, and collaborate with you to help solve their biggest challenges.

We hope to see you at NPE2024 from May 6-10, 2024 in Orlando, Florida.

Accelerated Innovation and Problem-Solving are at the Forefront of the Global Event

The Plastics Industry Association (PLASTICS), producers of NPE: The Plastics Show, announced the program highlights for the industry’s largest trade show in the Americas.

Returning for the first time since 2018, NPE® will take place in Orlando, Florida from May 6-10, 2024, and will offer the plastics industry a global platform to see demonstrations of the latest machinery and equipment firsthand, meet with industry experts, and collaborate around some of the biggest challenges facing the industry.

With more than 1.2 million net square feet of exhibit space and 2,000+ exhibitors spotlighting the latest technologies, equipment and machinery, materials, and processes across 7 distinct technology zones, including advanced manufacturing, bottling, robotics and automation, and flexible and rigid packaging, this is the can’t-miss show for the plastics and manufacturing industries.

The theme for NPE2024 is “Made For You.” From curated exhibit hall journeys to idea generation zones to rousing keynote speakers, NPE2024 is intentionally designed for leaders who want to understand the next big ideas, build meaningful partnerships, and accelerate business growth.

NPE2024 also features 7 Technology Zones which cover many of the industry’s most critical sectors and feature the insights, solutions, and services that are key to strengthening any supply chain. The zones consolidate their individual sector’s most cutting-edge advancements, tools, materials, and processes in one central location, offering a first-hand preview of the technologies that will help move the industry forward.

“The ‘Made For You’ theme and the 7 Technology Zones perfectly encapsulate what makes NPE2024 such an exciting showcase of the plastics industry,” said Glenn Anderson, PLASTICS Chief Operating Officer. “We’re developing a series of programs that connect exhibitors, attendees, and buyers in specific sectors that most align with their individual business priorities, enabling them to maximize their time at the trade show and build relationships with like-minded NPE participants from across the supply chain.”

Some of the highly anticipated Technology Zones to be featured at NPE2024 are:

Bottle Zone

Back after its successful debut at NPE2018, the Bottle Zone offers a comprehensive look at one of the most important industry sectors, spotlighting innovations, technologies, and solutions for the beverage bottling and polyethylene terephthalate (PET) market. In this zone, attendees will find companies focused on plastic bottle design, machinery, and processes that are pushing the marketplace forward.

Advanced Manufacturing Zone

The Advanced Manufacturing Zone features suppliers, designers, engineers and software providers across the entire plastics materials and manufacturing supply chain. From 3D/4D printing to robots, cobots, end-of-arm tooling, and systems integration services—the latest in automation technology and innovation will be on full display.

Recycling and Sustainability Zone

The Recycling & Sustainability Zone will offer an up-close look at the most innovative end-market solutions, bioplastics, and light weighting tactics that are improving sustainability and advancing life-cycle circularity in plastic products. The zone will examine all of the industry’s most pressing recycling topics: chemical versus mechanical recycling, improving bottle-to-bottle processes, closed loop recyclability, and applying ocean plastics in manufacturing.

In February 2023, PLASTICS will hold the show’s Space Draw for exhibit space selection, and attendee registration will open in May 2023. NPE2024 returns to the Orange County Convention Center (OCCC) in Orlando, Florida from May 6-10, 2024.
